JetBlue Adds Cheap Flights To DC, Baltimore
BOSTON (WBZ) ―A discount air fare battle is beginning at Logan Airport.
JetBlue announced Thursday that starting in September it will begin daily flights from Boston to Baltimore-Washington International Airport.
Fares start at $39.
Earlier this month, Southwest Airlines announced it will launch Boston-to-Baltimore service in August, starting at $49 one-way.
Scott Laurence, JetBlue vice president of network planning, told the Boston Globe the decision had nothing to do with Southwest.
"This is part of a bigger strategy involving Boston. We want to focus on the biggest destinations of the markets that matter most to us," he said.
